Small Paintings with a big Voice

Join us on October 3 at 6pm to 9pm for a reception with Craig Talbot at the gallery.

Craig tells us:
The work in this exhibition started as an experiment.  I began using small panels to test new techniques.  This is in case the test panels turned out well.  Most of the small paintings were started this way. Most recently I made a painting that was larger using the other small paintings as a refence it’s been exciting.  So far, this technique has been successful.  I often feel small but with the help of a good friend it helps soothe the pain.   

 “Small” may also represent being overwhelmed or feeling weak and helpless. The paintings are very small, but they still have a life of their own.  Being small is what made me feel big.
