“Monoprinting invites me to explore.  There is always an edge of surprise.  The discoveries stimulate new images and ideas.  I am captivated by the element of unpredictability inherent in the monotype process; this keeps my work evolving and, therefore, it stays alive for me.  The process of transferring an image from one surface to another has presented me with unlimited possibilities.  

 “The image is conceived directly on the surface.  Each piece is a unique dialogue between me and the evolving image until we both reach an agreement.  Every action towards shape, color, transparencies, textures, line and pattern is a response to the previous action as well as anticipation of the next.”
