Artwork by Linda McBain Cuyler

Linda creates colourful, highly-textured art by stitching on her paintings. She hand-guides her old, metal sewing machine to add the thread in a method called free-motion machine embroidery. She focuses on landscapes and garden scenes, filling them with life and movement. Linda has worked as a fibre artist for over 20 years, starting her design career with an Interior Design degree. In that time, she has exhibited widely, including in South Korea and at the Vancouver Winter Olympics. Her art can be found in the collections of the Mazankowski Heart Institute & the City of Lacombe- also in homes from England to Japan.
